Deacon 8.0 is a great first ski for the performance minded newer skier.  The Deacon series is all about on trail performance, and this ski is all about helping a skiers develop skills on all kinds of groomed runs.  It offers outstanding Volkl design, construction and performance in a super durable ski that will make progressing on the snow easier and more fun.  It features a wood/composite core, tip rocker profile and a full cap construction with a textured surface that is very durable and does not allow snow to stick during use.  The Deacon 8.0 is very easy to ski on, but has quite a large performance range, so it will not be outgrown quickly as skills improve.

This ski is packaged with the Tyrolia PR 10 bindings.  PowerRail is a great binding system.
•  Fits any boot, with no need to ever redrill holes if the boot changes
•  PowerRail is specifically designed to allow the ski to flex fuller and in a more rounded arc, with less effort from the skier.
•  PowerRail allows for easy experimentation of boot location on the ski.  Finding the best place to stand on any ski will make just about anyone a better skier immediately.  When the boot is placed in the best spot on the ski, skiing is easier.
