Head Kore 99 is a newest model in the super hot Kore series of skis. Like its siblings in this group, it is a technically sophisticated freeride ski. No other ski on the market (except other Kore models) are built like this new ski. With its 99mm waist width, it is perhaps the perfect all mountain shape and width for today's off trail oriented skier. More versatility and tighter turning than the wider K105 along with better deep snow performance than the K93. An excellent ski when the snow is deep, and lots of fun on groomers.
Kore is all about light weight without compromise. Graphene is the lightest material known and incredibly strong. Fused into the tip and tail, it offers outstanding stability and responsiveness. Koroyd honeycomb replaces wood core material in the center of the ski. This reduces weight, without sacrificing stability. Karuba wood cores are very lively and super light weight. This gives the ski its rebound from turn to turn, and a feather light feel underfoot. All three of these materials are unique to the Head ski brand.
The Kore's concept is to use the most innovative materials and construction techniques to remove as much weight from the ski, without affecting performance. Lightweight is good, but only if the ski's performance level is maintained. Ski makers have been trying to make skis lighter as long as skis have been being built. But, never has light weight ever been done so right. Thanks for looking! Please let us know if you have any questions.
