2018 Volkl RTM 8.0 snow skis with bindings
2018 Volkl RTM 8.0 with Head PRX 12 bindings
Volkl's RTM 8.0 is a great first ski for the performance minded newer skier. RTM stands for Ride the Mountain, and this ski is all about helping a new skier do exactly that. It offers outstanding Volkl design, construction and performance in a super durable ski that will make progressing on the snow easier and more fun. It features a wood core, tip rocker profile and a full cap construction with a textured surface that is very durable and does not allow snow to stick during use. The RTM 8.0 is very easy to ski on, but has quite a large performance range, so it will not be outgrown quickly as skills improve.
Volkl says --
"Skiing an RTM sometimes makes you wonder where the autopilot is hidden. These skis offer an amazing performance in basically every condition and no matter how hard you go, the RTM will always make feel easy easy and in control. This is, what the performance standard for frontside-oriented all mountain skiing looks like."
We have this ski matched up with the Head/Tyrolia PRX 12 binding. This binding is a performance upgrade from what is often sold with this ski. PowerRail bindings offer features other bindings do not; (1) super soft entry heel, (2) very small increments of adjustment for boot position on the ski, (3) a very sophisticated rail system interface under the binding that improves flex arc and turn shape. Not only does it look killer on the ski, but it makes this a better skiing ski too. This is one of the best skibinding values on the market and an awesome match to this ski.
DIN range of 3.5 to 12, it will work for any skier with a DIN setting of 4.5 or higher. That is virtually any adult skier.
