BFC is a very exciting new group of ski boots from K2, designed from the ground up with COMFORT in mind first and foremost. BFC stands for Built For Comfort, and K2 has done a great job of doing exactly that. BFC's 103mm shell width offers just the right amount of extra room in the toe box so that the foot is warm, and has plenty of wiggle room for your toes. But, the boot is also very anatomically shaped, with a narrower heel fit inspired by K2's tighter fitting, higher performance models. And, the toe box is even asymmetrically shaped to match the asymmetrical shape of the human foot. A novel idea, but the questions is, why didn't this happen sooner? BFC simply brings a whole new level of comfort to the ski boot world.
BFC 90 is the perfect boot for almost any new, or experienced but less aggressive skier. Soft, warm and comfortable, with K2's CushFit, ultra cozy liner. Also features very nice micro adjustable buckles and a wide 40mm power strap to help it fit great around your leg. And, the BFC upper cuff fits the shape of a larger leg very, very well right out of the box. If you have been suffering with TOO TIGHT boots, or are buying your very first ski boots ever, BFC 90 should be at the top of your list.
How does the BFC 90 fit? The overall shape of the boot fits medium to slightly wider than an average volume foot. Width is average to roomy, the toe box is roomy and the heel pocket is nice and snug. The instep is slightly HIGHER than many overlap boots, and the upper cuff is a bit SHORTER (shorter yet if the spoiler is removed) and snug. If you have wider feet, a higher instep, or larger calves, OR, or you just want more room in your ski boots, this will be a great choice for you.
